Introduction to the Showcase and Headers

Incantation includes 7 options for your showcase header area and also depends on what part of the website you want to display sliders or static images.

Your options are:

For Your Front Page

Although you have 7 showcase header options, only 4 are available for the front page while the other 2 are for inner pages and for your blog home page if you use the "Static Front Page" method of WordPress.

Actually, you have 8 header options, with the eighth being the default WordPress Header. This will display on "every" page of your website and it's loaded by default when you first install Incantation. You can manage this directly from:

Appearance >> Header

Of course, you will want to have your own images and not the image placeholders I created.

For Your Blog Home Page

If you use the WordPress Static Front Page method to create a custom front page, your blog will now be relocated inside your website. This will become your new blog home which you can also have a custom header image here, but this won't be seen on other pages. You can choose whether or not to show an image, and also one with an overlay title and caption.

For Your Inner Pages

Very similar to the Blog Header option, this one is managed directly from within the page editor when you create or edit a page. These headers use and take full advantage of "Custom Fields" which offer a great way to get different images for every page of your website, with or without title caption overlays.
